Bacardi Reserva Ocho Rare Gold Rum 2011 750ml

Most tasters land in the same spot: an easy, unfussy sipper where nothing jumps out but nothing offends. Caramel, oak and a little smoke, with a soft sweetness some find just slightly too much. The nose gets called sharp and alcoholic, but the palate is light and mild. Several call it a “good gateway rum,” especially if you come from bourbon.
