1. Secure Product Packaging
All orders are inspected and packaged before dispatch. Depending on the product, packaging may include:
-
Strong outer shipping cartons.
-
Individual bottle protection.
-
Protective inserts or dividers.
-
Cushioning materials to reduce movement and impact.
-
Leak-resistant secondary packaging where appropriate.
-
Additional protection for glass bottles and other fragile products.
Our goal is to minimize the risk of breakage, leakage, or damage during normal transportation and handling.
2. Glass Bottle Protection
Many of our products are supplied in glass bottles. We take additional precautions when packaging glass products.
Bottles are positioned securely within the shipping carton and separated or cushioned where necessary. Additional protective materials may be used depending on the size, shape, and number of bottles in an order.
Where applicable, packaging for liquid products is designed to provide appropriate containment and protection against leakage. U.S. Postal Service packaging standards require appropriate protection, including cushioning, absorbent material, secondary containment, and a strong outer container for certain breakable liquid containers.
3. Leak Prevention
Before an order leaves our facility, we take reasonable steps to ensure that bottles and closures are secure.
Where appropriate, bottles may be placed in sealed or leak-resistant protective packaging before being placed inside the outer shipping carton.
If a package arrives with visible leakage or significant damage, please contact us as soon as possible at shop@1031liquor.com and provide photographs of the package and affected products.
4. Packaging Materials
We may use a combination of:
-
Corrugated shipping boxes.
-
Protective bottle sleeves.
-
Molded inserts.
-
Cardboard dividers.
-
Bubble protection or other cushioning materials.
-
Absorbent materials where appropriate.
-
Leak-resistant bags or secondary containment.
-
Tamper-evident or security materials where appropriate.
Packaging materials may vary depending on the product and order size.
5. Multiple-Bottle Orders
Orders containing multiple bottles may be packed using protective dividers or individual cushioning to prevent bottles from striking one another during transportation.
The final packaging configuration may vary according to bottle size, shape, quantity, and shipping requirements.
6. Environmentally Responsible Packaging
Where practical, 1031 Liquor may use recyclable or reusable packaging materials while maintaining appropriate protection for the products.
Packaging decisions are primarily based on product safety, transportation requirements, and applicable regulations.
7. Shipping Compliance
1031 Liquor uses shipping methods and carriers appropriate for the products being transported and applicable laws.
Alcohol shipments in the United States are subject to federal and state requirements. The U.S. Postal Service does not generally ship beverage alcohol, and alcohol shipments may require an authorized private carrier and must comply with the laws applicable to the origin and destination states.
1031 Liquor will not knowingly package or ship an order in a manner that violates applicable federal, state, or local requirements.
8. Damaged Packages
Although we take reasonable precautions, packages may occasionally be damaged during transportation.
If your order arrives damaged:
-
Keep the original packaging and products.
-
Take clear photographs of the outer package and damaged product.
-
Contact us at shop@1031liquor.com as soon as possible.
-
Include your order number and photographs when contacting us.
-
Do not dispose of the damaged product or packaging until we have provided further instructions.
We will review the circumstances and work with you to determine the appropriate resolution under our applicable Returns and Refunds Policy.
9. Incorrect or Insufficient Packaging

10. Regulatory Compliance
1031 Liquor is committed to complying with applicable requirements governing the sale, packaging, and shipment of beverage alcohol.
Federal alcohol regulations require beverage alcohol products introduced into interstate commerce to meet applicable packaging, bottling, and labeling requirements. State and local alcohol laws may also impose additional requirements.
Packaging requirements may vary depending on the product, alcohol content, carrier, transportation method, and destination.
