1031 liquor Shipping Restrictions Policy
1. Overview
1031 LIQUOR LLC is committed to responsible and lawful sale and delivery of whisky and other alcoholic beverages.
Because alcohol laws vary between states and local jurisdictions, whisky cannot be shipped to every U.S. address. Shipping availability depends on applicable federal, state, and local laws, licensing requirements, product type, destination, and carrier requirements.
We only accept and fulfill alcoholic beverage orders for destinations where the sale and delivery of the applicable product are legally permitted.
2. State and Local Shipping Restrictions
Alcohol regulations differ significantly throughout the United States. A shipment that is permitted in one state may be restricted or prohibited in another.
For this reason:
-
We do not guarantee delivery of alcoholic beverages to every U.S. state or territory.
-
Shipping availability may vary according to the destination address and the type of alcoholic beverage ordered.
-
Certain states, counties, cities, municipalities, ZIP codes, or other jurisdictions may impose additional restrictions.
-
Some products may be unavailable for shipment to particular destinations.
-
We may refuse, cancel, or refund an order when shipment to the destination is not legally permitted.
-
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address.
Federal guidance recognizes that state and local alcohol authorities may impose requirements in addition to federal requirements.
3. Eligible Shipping Destinations
1031 LIQUOR LLC ships alcoholic beverages only to eligible U.S. destinations where legally permitted.
Our website and checkout system may restrict or prevent orders to destinations where we cannot lawfully fulfill the requested shipment.
The availability of a state in our checkout system does not override any applicable state or local alcohol law. If a legal or licensing restriction prevents fulfillment, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue an appropriate refund.
4. Age Requirement
Customers must be 21 years of age or older to purchase whisky or other alcoholic beverages from 1031 LIQUOR LLC.
By placing an order, the customer represents that they are at least 21 years old and legally permitted to purchase alcoholic beverages.
We may require age verification before accepting or fulfilling an order.
The person receiving the shipment must also meet the applicable legal age requirements.
5. Identification and Adult Signature
Alcohol shipments may require an adult signature and valid government-issued identification at delivery.
The recipient may be required to provide identification confirming that they are at least 21 years old.
If the recipient cannot provide acceptable identification, is under the legal drinking age, or refuses to comply with the required delivery procedure, the carrier may refuse delivery.
For qualifying Michigan retailer shipments, Michigan requirements include identification verification and a signature from the recipient, together with specific alcohol-shipment labeling.
6. Alcohol Shipping Label
Where required by applicable law, alcoholic beverage shipments will carry the required alcohol-shipment notices and labeling.
Michigan requirements for qualifying retailer shipments include marking the outside of the package with a notice stating that it contains alcohol and must be delivered to a person 21 years of age or older.
7. Shipping Carrier
Alcohol shipments will be transported through an appropriate private carrier or delivery service permitted to transport alcoholic beverages.
We do not use the United States Postal Service to ship alcoholic beverages or other alcoholic beverages. Federal law prohibits mailing alcohol through USPS.
Carrier availability and delivery procedures may vary depending on the destination.
8. Delivery Address Requirements
Orders must be shipped to a valid physical delivery address where alcohol delivery is legally permitted.
We may not ship alcoholic beverages to:
-
P.O. Boxes where the carrier or applicable law prohibits alcohol delivery;
-
Addresses where alcohol delivery is prohibited;
-
Certain restricted government or institutional addresses;
-
Locations where the applicable carrier does not provide alcohol delivery;
-
Any destination where shipment would violate applicable law or licensing requirements.
9. State-Specific Restrictions
At this time, 1031 Liquor LLC does not ship alcoholic beverages directly to consumers in the following states:
-
-
Alabama
-
Arkansas
-
Delaware
-
Mississippi
-
Rhode Island
-
Utah
-
1031 LIQUOR LLC will comply with applicable requirements for the destination where the shipment is being made.
Because state laws can change, customers should not assume that alcoholic beverages shipping availability is identical across all states.
The federal government also advises businesses intending to sell into another state to contact that state’s alcohol authorities because each state has different requirements.
10. Orders That Cannot Be Legally Shipped
If an order cannot legally be shipped to the customer’s destination, we may:
-
Contact the customer to explain the restriction;
-
Cancel the affected order; and
-
Refund the applicable amount to the original payment method.
We will not knowingly ship alcoholic beverages when doing so would violate applicable federal, state, or local requirements.
11. Delivery Attempts and Failed Delivery
If an adult recipient is unavailable, cannot provide acceptable identification, refuses to sign, or otherwise cannot satisfy the carrier’s alcohol-delivery requirements, the carrier may make another delivery attempt or return the shipment.
Additional shipping charges may apply where a shipment is returned or requires reshipment, subject to applicable law and our Refund and Returns Policy.
12. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
If an order is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, additional delivery or return costs may apply.
We will contact the customer when appropriate to determine whether the order can legally be reshipped.
13. Weather and Other Delivery Restrictions
Extreme weather, transportation interruptions, carrier restrictions, government requirements, or other circumstances may delay alcohol shipments.
We may temporarily delay shipment when necessary to protect the product or comply with applicable requirements.
14. Product Availability
Not every alcoholic beverages product are necessarily available for shipment to every eligible destination.
Product-specific restrictions may apply.
If a particular alcoholic beverages cannot legally be shipped to the customer’s address, we may prevent checkout, contact the customer, cancel the affected item, or refund the applicable amount.
15. Taxes and Regulatory Charges
Applicable sales taxes, alcohol taxes, shipping charges, regulatory fees, and other legally required charges may vary by destination.
Where required, applicable charges will be collected and handled in accordance with applicable law.
16. Changes to Shipping Restrictions
Alcohol laws and regulations may change. 1031 LIQUOR LLC may update its shipping practices, eligible destinations, carriers, and restrictions when required by changes in law, licensing requirements, carrier policies, or regulatory guidance.
The most current version of this policy will be published on our website.
17. Responsible Alcohol Sales
1031 LIQUOR LLC supports responsible alcohol purchasing and consumption.
We do not sell alcoholic beverages to persons under 21 years of age.
We will not knowingly fulfill an order where the required age or delivery requirements cannot be satisfied.
